Window Sill Flowers
So I got a bouquet of flowers a week or two ago, and I hated seeing some of the flowers go, so slowly I started to weed out the dead flowers. But then my once beautiful bouquet looked so pathetic! Solution found! I took the blooms that were still perky, split them up and put them into wine bottles and put them on my window sill in my kitchen. Now, when I creep on my neighbors I have some beautiful flowers to see as well;)

The Case of the Disappearing Madeleines
I baked, I left, I came home to find all but three gone. I guess they were liked:) Need to make more!!!!
Making Madeleines!
So here I am making something that I have never made before which contains directions for things I do not know how to do and ingredients that seem foreign to me...
Ingredients:
3 eggs
(What in the world are eggs?! Jk)
1/2 cup of caster sugar... Meaning superfine sugar.
(Hint: blend regular sugar)
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 oz. unsalted butter
(Thank goodness I accidentally bought some a while back...)
Grated zest of 1 lemon and 1 orange
(Umm.... Ok, whatever that means...)
Preheat oven to 400*F
Brush the Madeleine tray with melted butter then coat with flour. Shake the extra flour out of tray.
Whisk eggs and sugar until the whisk leaves a trail when lifted.
Fold in flour. Then the melted butter and the zest, with zest!!
Spoon into tray and bake for about 12 min if the madeleines are big and 7 if small.
Tadahhhhh! If I can do it you can too:)

That Darn Rug!
Ok. So we all (or maybe it's just the Little, Big, and Mill houses) have That Ikea Rug. And we all, even if you don't have it, have tripped on the curled edge like a million times, cursing every time, surprised, and annoyed. I am please to announce that there is finally a cure to Curled Rug Syndrome! Lightly dampen a towl and place along curled edge. You could even place a weight on it if you like. And voila!! A few hours later, or overnight like I did, you will have a trip-free rug! I am soo happy:)
